Past Events

On 25 and 26 April 2024, the 38^th annual conference on the theory and practice of steel production and processing, called STEELERS 2024, took place in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm at the Energetic Hotel. 85 experts from approximately 40 companies and universities from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Italy attended the conference. The introductory block of lectures was opened by Mrs. Mgr. Ing. Marcela Kubalová with a lecture on the Vision of the Steel Union. This was followed by a lecture by Prof. Ing. Jozef Vlček, Ph.D. from MATERIAL AND METALLURGICAL RESEARCH s.r.o. on circular economy as a supporting tool for ensuring sustainable development. Traditionally, the programme of lectures was enriched by Ing. Jaroslav Pindor, Ph.D. with a recapitulation of information on the direction of the European metallurgy towards "Green Steel". After the introductory lectures leading to reflection on the development of steel metallurgy, the participants of the conference had the opportunity to listen to more than 15 other expert lectures, to share professional knowledge and to debate and relax together in a friendly atmosphere during the social evening.
